As part of the Irish Government’s efforts to ease the burden of spiking Covid-19 infections’ rates on hospitals, HSE self-isolation and step-down facilities were assembled around the country. Citywest Hotel and Convention Centre undertook a record-breaking effort to transform into a temporary medical centre, providing 325 beds for those who tested positive for the virus.
